Attended a meeting with the acting director of the new TIP program for NIST. TIP is essentially replacing ATP. WOW! What a great program this is turning out to be. I'm hopeful that the region can really take advantage of the program... they're seeking novel, high-risk, high-reward R&D that fills a critical national need. That's pretty broad, but I'm sure there are some companies in the region that would benefit from $1.5 million in R&D funding to do some of this stuff.
